In Technorati, I had trouble doing the keyword search for Library Learning 2.0. However, I did find their tags useful and interesting. I think it and de.licio.us both have a lot to offer for people who love to blog. However, I really am not interested in blogging. I liked Delicious more because I love to listen to music and it's interesting to find out who likes similar music.
I didn't feel comfortable registering my blog on Technorati.
I am blessed that my daughter and her family live in this area. Talking on the phone or visiting with my daughter and grandchildren are the most precious things I look forward to. My son-in-law is not so bad either! My granddaughters are my little munchkins. My first one is 11 years old. She is involved in basketball, Future Problem Solvers, guitar, and designing/selling jewelry. My second granddaughter is 4. She is involved in gymnastics and loves to play with friends and big sister.

Thing #13
I didn't realize there were so many social networking places. I do like Delicious. I was able to create several tags for music videos and websites. I also bookmarked the chocolate month club to share. Delicious seems to be fairly easy to use.

Some points about commenting that I believe are important are to set boundaries, be humble and be gracious. I believe if you set forth your values from the beginning that you can create a safe place. You have the power to disable comments that are immoral and distasteful.
I commented on a couple of other blogs belonging to others who are participating in 23 Things. I also commented on some of the things in my own blog. I also did the Google Blog search and found some Christian Online Worship blogs that are truly awesome. I'll probably continue to participate in them.

Thing #11
I created an account in LibraryThing and added some books that I have found interesting or am in the process of reading. I believe I even linked to another person's recommendations that matched my searches. However, I don't think I'll ever use this "thing". It would take too much of my personal time. There's too much to customize and keep up with. I'd rather keep up with books by word of mouth!

My daughter & family just returned from vacation to Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, OH. |
One fun ride (at least for my son-in-law and oldest granddaughter) they rode was the Top Thrill Dragster which races 420 feet into the sky at speeds of 120 mph.
My daughter said she didn't have time to breathe and thought she was going to die!

Thing #9
I went to Google Blog Search and searched for "23 Things" and my Thing #8 came up. Wow! I thought that was cool! Next I tried using the Blogline's Search Tool but got an error. I reported the error to Cynthia and am waiting for a response. I subscribed to a few blogs/feeds and added one to this blog. I definitely need to study this more. I got confused about which ones I should subscribe to and so forth. Anyway, this "thing" was interesting and I am looking forward to learning more.

Thing #8
I enjoyed reading about what RSS is. I created an account in Google Reader and subscribed to some feeds. I decided this was the safest and easiest reader for me. I like the convenience of being able to get news and updates for what you really want to read about. I didn't see the RSS logo. So I hope I'm okay!

Thing #7
I didn't know there were so many Google Tools! In my iGoogle account, I added these gadgets: virtual terror alert, sticky note, time & date in digital format, local weather w/current conditions, inspirational quotes of the day, and more. I love the sticky note gadget. My note I added was "don't forget to sign out of this account!". One thing I am learning is that you have to sign out of all of the various accounts to avoid potential scam and phishing.

Thing #6
Here goes. I created a Flickr account and linked it to my existing Yahoo account. One thing I didn't realize is that when you create a Flickr account, it automatically opens your Yahoo account. So when I signed off my Flickr account, I didn't sign off my Yahoo account and I believe it caused me to receive a lot more spam in my Yahoo account. Now I understand! Cynthia, thank you for explaining that. I downloaded the Flickr uploader and I don't know why because I don't have any photos to upload. Guess I'll keep it on my computer for awhile. I also tried an application called "Flump" but didn't realize that you have to have a "Pro" account in order to do a lot of things. So, I won't go there anymore!
I have to say that thing #6 was really confusing for me because I didn't understand what apps I should use and how to use them. There were too many apps to pick from for this ole gal!

Thing #5
Wow! Searching the photos was fun. Learning about licenses, tags, etc. is a lot to take in. Hopefully, I'll get the hang of it.
I love this photo. It reminds me of the Rocky Mountains.

Thing #3
Creating my avatar wasn't as hard as I anticipated. The hardest part was figuring out if I needed to download or export.

Thing #2
I believe the hardest life long learning habit for me is having enough confidence to be a competent and effective learner. Technology has changed dramatically through the years and poses as somewhat of a challenge. The easiest habit for me is once I do learn new technology, I love to teach and mentor others.
